Good morning, Papa God!
While I was out on my walk with You today, You led me past a young child playing in the yard under the watchful eye of his dad. The child was occupied studying something on the ground. Suddenly, he squealed in delight, jumping up and down, laughing at the antics of whatever was on the ground. His “find” filled him with joy, awe, and laughter. He called his dad over to share it with him. You brought to my mind the scripture verse that we are to come to You as a child, filled with joy, awe, and wonder. I realized, in that moment, that as adults we have lost the ability to see the world through the eyes of a child. Life, with its struggles and challenges, slowly robs us of the ability to see joy and awe and wonder and laughter in the small, seemingly insignificant things in life. This child’s dad was protectively sitting there, watching over his child while he just played and laughed at the small creature he had found. So, it is with You, Papa God, always protectively and lovingly, watching over Your children. Papa God, give me “childlike eyes” again so that I can have joy and excitement and laughter in the small, insignificant moments of my life.
Good morning, My child!
You do see with childlike eyes – often! Just like this event! I am glad that you saw it! We shared this moment together, and I poured My thoughts into your spirit. It is hard for My children to see beauty and joy and laughter all around them because they are so bombarded by the world’s negative influences and life’s demands. The only way to protect yourself from this bombardment is to be careful what you let your eyes see and your ears hear. Set your eyes more on Me and the things that are in My realm; and just like today, you will begin to see the joy and laughter that is around you. Come to Me, as a child, with your heart completely trusting Me. I am protectively watching over you and guiding your steps. Your steps will lead you to the joy and laughter found in Me, if you are looking.
