Good morning, Papa God!
Have You noticed (and You have!) how easy it is for Your children to read Your Word and how hard it is to believe it enough to actually do it? For instance, I just read Phil.3:7-8 again! First question I asked myself – “Have I considered all things as loss so as to know You deeply and intimately, the excellence of knowing You?” “Do I suffer the loss of all things, and consider the loss as rubbish so that I may gain Christ?” Of course, Papa God, I want to say I have, but the reality is I have not. When I asked You to reveal that which I am still holding onto, You showed me! Now, comes the hard part of reading that verse – the doing of it. Letting go of that which You have told me to count as loss for the sake of knowing the excellence of You, and to trust You that this is for my best and that You will supply all my needs. Again, easy to read and know, but often hard to do. Help me by Your strength to do this thing which is hard, and to trust You in all of it. All things and times are Yours. You hold it all together by Your Sovereign authority. You ultimately work all things together for my good, so help me to obediently do Your Word, not just read it.
Good morning, My child!
Do you think I demand flawless performance and instant perfection? I do not. I know you and how you are created. You will learn and grow in knowledge, most often from experience, sometimes good and sometimes by failure. But, in all your growth in knowledge of Me and My ways, I always see all of you! I am always looking at your heart. I cannot see any other way. All is what I see. I know and see that this “letting go” experience is hard for you. But remember, My child, you have Me and My strength to see you through this. Trust and rely on Me. I will never leave you nor forsake you. Determine within yourself to take the hard step of letting go, and you will see that I have given you the strength to do so.
