The Secret of Contentment!

Good morning, Papa God!

I am content with my life – where I am, Whose I am and who I am, and what I am doing. Oh, I have been content with what I have for many years. The things of this world do not hold any interest or sway over me. My discontent in recent years has been because of what appeared to me to be unanswered questions like - why am I here in this place?  where do I go? what am I supposed to be doing? But, I have realized that You do have the answers to all my questions and will (and have) revealed them to me in Your perfect time. This is the secret of contentment – our love relationship – You in me and Your love for me, and my love for You and my trust in You, no matter the circumstances. You never change in this relationship. I am content when I love and trust You in all matters of life, knowing that You are in control of every piece of my life. Believing that You got this- all of it! Then, I rest in You and I am fully content. For I know Whom I have believed, and Whom I fully trust – Jesus Christ, Your Son and my Savior. He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him against that Day. My soul is well; it is satisfied; it is content because You have not spared anything from me and have fully given me everything in Christ. You have even “not given” me those things that You knew would harm me or not be best for me. I rejoice in You and put my trust in You.

Good morning, My child!

I know how difficult it is for you to wait and be still. It is certainly one of the hardest things for you to do, and not just you but everyone. But you have learned that the art of being still and waiting on Me is not a passive activity. It is very active! It is an active display of your faith and trust in Me as you learn to lay down your desires, your dreams, and your hopes before Me and surrender these to My will. In the waiting and being still, you are perfecting your faith and building your Christ-like character. So, My child, being still and waiting is a very active effort. It is in this moment of emptying yourself before Me with trust, belief, and vulnerability that you find your safe and in a contented place – Me! You have learned that I am all you need. I am more than enough!
