Good morning, Papa God!
I close my eyes and center my focus upon You. My soul and my spirit seek the solitude and peace of Your Presence. I don’t have any needs or issues to bring to You … just a heart full of gratitude for all Your many wondrous blessings. Much of Your Word, hidden in my heart, is pouring forth in a prayerful declaration. You are my portion, my God, now and forever. Whom have I in heaven besides You? And besides You, there is nothing on this earth I desire. I know there will be times (and have been times) when my heart and flesh will fail to do Your will in Your way. But, You are the strength within me. You are faithful to forgive all my failures and sins when I confess them to You. Forever my soul shall make its boast in the Lord Jesus Christ. For I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me; and the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and delivered Himself up for me. To live is Christ, and to die is gain. These are my thoughts as I sit here in Your Presence, soaking in Your love and grace and mercy. I am reminded of Your great faithfulness to me – always. You alone are the Triune God and the only one worthy of all my praise. May my life put You on full display with all Your virtues and characteristics. Papa God, I ask for Your wisdom and counsel as I navigate today’s activities.
My child,
Your life is on full display always. Some days My light in you is brighter than others. It’s all good! I am doing work within you. This change within is often hidden from the view of others, even yourself at times. But, I see My virtues and characteristics blooming in you. I enjoy this time together so much while you sit with Me and wait quietly for Me to speak to you. Many of My children are in too much of a hurry, and leave our quiet time before I have had a chance to speak words of life into them. But you have learned the art of waiting in My Presence, and you have found that there is joy in the waiting. While waiting, what opportunities for growth do you see? Shall I name them for you? Trusting in Me, feeding on My faithfulness, delighting in Me, committing your will and your way to Me, doing good. Waiting produces growth. You wait well, My child, and the growth within you is evident.
