How Deep Is My Faith?

Good morning, Papa God!

A thought crossed my mind this morning … How deep is my faith as a Christian? Looking at all the “heroes of faith” in Your Word, it is very clear that Your children have done the impossible because of their faith in You. Faith really can conquer in any circumstance. It is the way in which we walk in You – one of faith. Everything You ask us to do causes us to utilize our faith in You through Jesus Christ, beginning with our salvation. As Your Word says, “ it is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.” The substance (foundation) and the evidence (facts) is Christ. It is believing and trusting “the future as present and the invisible as seen” (J. Oswald Sanders). Through faith, as a believer, I see what non-believers cannot yet see until they come to You by faith in Jesus Christ. So, again, I come to my first question, and I check my premises. “How deep is my faith as Your child?” Do I trust You explicitly, even when things my eyes do see are unclear and the current circumstances make little-to-no sense? That’s faith at its deepest and trust at its highest! Like Noah who built an ark for 120 years to be ready for a flood – when he didn’t know what a flood was, didn’t know what rain was! He just trusted You because You said it and did what You asked him to do. Trusting You and believing what You say about the future even when he couldn’t see it or understand it. That’s me right now! Obediently doing things in the present because You asked me to do it, even though I do not understand how it will all play out in the future. My faith is the victory of each day! Trusting You despite what I do not know, understand, or see. My faith is deeper now than it was when I first started my walk with You. Why? Because I have watched You work in my life; I have seen You do glorious things on my behalf and for my good; I have felt Your Presence with me wherever You have led my steps. So, by faith, I continue my journey hand-in-hand with You. Teach me to number my days, Papa God, and give me Your eternal vision so that I live in pursuit of Your will and the things in this life that really matter from Your view.

Good morning, My child!

Yes! I love to see you grow! That’s why I stopped carrying you all the time and why I stopped spoon feeding you. You had to learn to grow up – to walk next to Me and to feed Yourself with My Word. I look at your heart, My child, and not the outward appearances, and neither should you see only with your physical eyes. That’s why I have been exercising your “faith” eyes because “seeing is not believing.”  Quite the opposite! “Believing is “seeing” with your faith eyes. So, do not focus on your circumstances, the things your physical eyes see. Trust My Word which has been planted deeply into the soil of your faith. Focus on Me, and what I am doing in your life in the “unseen,” and believe and trust that I am truly still at work in your life and will be until I bring you home. Oh, yes, My child, I know you know this – just keep on moving in faith towards that which I have given you to do, even if it doesn’t make a lot of sense now and seems impossible. Remember, all My saints have done the impossible by their faith in Me.
