Am I Sleeping?

Good morning, Papa God!

As I read the Scriptures below, I asked myself, “Am I sleeping?” Have I become complacent and comfortable in my walk with You? In my waiting for Your return, have I become spiritually lazy? This place is not my home; it is not my rest. I am just passing through this time on earth on my way home to You. I cannot sleep! I must arise and pray, lest the things of this world entrap me and cause me to become complacent, with a heart weighted down by the cares of this world. I set my heart and my soul to seek You, my Lord God. While waiting for my Bridegroom, the Lord Jesus, to come for His church, I do not want to be found asleep. I want to be watching and prepared for the Lord Jesus’ coming. I want to be found faithfully doing that which You have called me to do in Your name and for Your glory. Give me Your strength to stay awake, watching and praying while I wait, always standing steadfastly in the battle for lost souls.

Good morning, My lovely one!

You are My beloved, My very special child! Your persistent, desperate desire to be more like Me pleases Me. I know the lessons that you have been learning in this “classroom” I have designed has not been much to your liking. But, through it, I am also changing you into My likeness. Remember, you asked Me to do this. That’s what this “classroom” is doing. I am the God of radical change. I am working the transformation that you long to see, changing you into who I designed you to be. Remember your prayers to Me to guide you, to keep all your tomorrows, to turn your blunderings into blessings? Well, I have and I AM! This “classroom of learning,” where you have been more still and more quiet so I can prepare you for what’s coming next, does not mean that you have been asleep or complacent. You have been anything but comfortable in this classroom. I know that the routine sameness of your life right now dulls your thinking, and you have become unfocused, with your thoughts being pulled downward. Fix your eyes on Me and refocus! I know your heart of love for Me. I know your desire to leave this world as on fire for Jesus as you were when you first came to know Him. It will be so, My child; it will be so. Let My preparation process have its perfect way in you.
