Good morning, Papa God!
You know I have often wondered about the purpose of prayer throughout my growth as Your child. For instance, why I need to ask You for things that I need when You already know what I need. But, as I have grown up in my faith walk with You, I have come to realize that prayer is not really about asking and receiving and getting answers from You; but it’s about being in oneness with You, being in communion with You. It’s about “being” in Your Presence, real communication that deepens my relationship with You, trusting one another, and knowing the other’s heart and hopes. You knowing mine which You already do; me knowing Yours! This is true prayer time with You – divine dialogue. In being still before You and listening, I have learned Your heart for me, Your thoughts, and plans and hopes for me. I have learned to stop talking and listen, giving myself a dedicated amount of time to just be still. I do receive an answer every time I pray – yes, no, wait, and sometimes even silence. But, it’s not about whether You “answer” me, it’s about my heart’s condition as to why I am in Your Presence – to get something or to be with You. After many years of trying to understand prayer, I now get it! You have been so patient with the growth in this area of my walk with You.
Good morning, My child!
Thank you for understanding the concept of prayer as divine dialogue. In those moments when you wait in My Presence and patiently listen for My voice in the silence, it is Me taking that opportunity to infuse growth within you. When words are needed, I will speak them deep within your being. Why must we always talk? You have learned that listening is of far greater importance than talking. Besides, My child, I often speak and give an answer on a deeper level than words can express or reach in your soul. Often times, My child, My silence is a feeding time, a building time, a growing time for you – not a time for lots of words between us. We have a deep friendship because we have deep conversations, and you have learned to be still and listen rather talking and asking. This pleases Me deeply, My child.
