Feed My Sheep, Tend My Lambs!

Good morning, Papa God!

Just been sitting here, thinking! I do that a lot these days! I was focused on some of Jesus’ last words before He went to the cross like “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have sent Me to do.” These words have settled into my soul. I want to be able to say these words at the end of my life as well, Papa God. I really do have only this goal on my mind these days – to glorify You and finish whatever work You have for me to do in the winter season of my life. Your will be done! Keep me from racing ahead of You, attempting to do Your work in my own strength. But, also keep from stalling, and dragging my feet and lagging behind You in doing what You ask of me. I am here to fulfill Your compelling purpose in my life. I am profoundly aware that You have placed Your call on my life – to know You deeply and to teach others. Nothing ever happens by chance or coincidence. You are Sovereignly working out Your will and purpose in my life. Your compelling purpose lies behind all You do. I do not always understand everything You are doing and why, but I do trust You that it is all good and right. It may not feel good and right to me, but I trust You to work it all together for good and Your purposes. When my life is near the end, I want to say to You, like Jesus did, “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work that You have given me to do.”

Good morning, My child!

Yes, I have called you – called you by name. You are My child, My dearest friend, My loving daughter. You have been called to action. I am with you always, and the Holy Spirit fills you with all the power you need to change lives – your own and others around you. What is your call to action, My little one? Something I have empowered you to do quite well – feed My sheep and tend to My lambs. Yes, both – the sheep (the more spiritually mature and yet still growing in their knowledge of Me, as you are) and the lambs (the young ones in their faith in Christ). Teach them of Me and My Word. This is the calling that I have placed on your life. By whatever means I show you, feed My sheep and tend My lambs. Remember to rest in My sufficiency. I will supply all you need to do what I have called you to do. You will have all the mercy, empathy, knowledge and wisdom from My Word, and compassion that you need for each “sheep” or “lamb” I send your way. So, My child, My faithful teacher, feed My sheep and tend My lambs until you see Me face-to-face.
