Magnify the Lord!

Good morning, Papa God!

I was stopped right in the middle of my reading of Your Word – Psalm 34. The question, “How well do I magnify You?” crossed my mind. Then came the next question, “what does it mean to magnify You?” By definition, it means to enlarge in fact or appearance; to bring an object into greater focus; to increase one’s perspective; to cause to be held in greater esteem or respect (God). So, I rephrased the question to myself, Papa God. “How well does my life enlarge and bring into focus the greatness of Who You are, my God?” Does my life increase another person’s perspective of the truth of Who You are? Do I cause others to hold You in greater esteem and respect? In a nutshell, how well do I magnify You? From my perspective, which is so limited compared to Yours, I’m not really sure how I am doing. I guess – some days good, some days not! I know this much. My desire is to always lift You up and magnify You to others, even if that’s not always what I do. I guess the “how” I magnify You depends on the “why” I do it, doesn’t it? When I remember Your great love for me by sending Jesus to die for me, and His willingness to do so, when I look closely at You and all that You have done for me, and bring You into focus, I worship and magnify You. I can’t help but increase the importance of You and Your will in my life, and decrease the focus on me, when I remember Your great love and all You have done.

Good morning, My child!

When you turn your eyes and heart upon Me, and I become the center of your focus, your heart will always sing praises to Me and your life will magnify Me. It’s the way I designed My children to be. Set your eyes and focus on the things above, on Me, and then you will remember My great and mighty works in your life. This will always elicit from you the songs of praise within your heart and soul. Your life magnifies Me. I am working within you for this purpose … so others can see Me in you!

(Psalm 34; John 3:30; Col.3:1)
