Learning!

Good morning, Papa God!

I close my eyes; I breathe; I take in the quiet stillness; I am still before You. You are the breath in my lungs. You fill me to overflowing. My cup indeed runs over! As I open Your Word, prepare my heart to receive Your truths. Speak to my heart Your words of instruction, of correction, of knowledge, whatever it is I need to know and hear. Lead me today in Your paths of righteousness. You provide my every need, and I truly have no wants. I am content and satisfied with all the tangible things of this world. But, I am still learning contentment regarding the intangibles of my life like purpose, impact, and activity level. But, even in this, I am learning Your heart in these matters; learning to cease striving after these things; learning to let go, and let You have them. Yes, You make all things new within me, purging out the old so that I may be made new. An ongoing process! I am both made new by the blood of Christ covering my sins, and being made new every day … the ongoing removal of the rubble of my life. Thank You that Your mercies toward me are new every day. My day starts with You; I propel through my day with You; I end my day with You. You are all I need every day. I can trust You for everything. Over and over again, You have proven that to me. Great is Your faithfulness to me, Papa God.

Good morning, My child!

Making all things new is what I do! And I won’t stop until there is a new heaven and a new earth. Each day is new for you … a new beginning, a do-over! Not a do-over of the same habits, but quite the opposite, My child. It is a do-over to do something in a different and better way. Remember when you asked Me to change you into the image of My Son, Jesus. Remember those times You asked Me to guide your steps, to take care of all your tomorrows. Remember the times you asked Me to make something good out of Your failures and blunders. My child, that is exactly what I am doing right now. It’s called making you new. Sometimes your classroom of learning seems hard, but you can trust Me. You are exactly where you need to be to learn. And, yes, you are right! There are many possible learning environments I could choose – some easier, some harder! But this is the one I choose for you so you could learn the truths that I am teaching you as you walk through these days of your life.
