Good morning, Papa God!
I landed on this verse this morning and stopped reading. My first question was “why did the Holy Spirit have me stop on this one?” The word “hope” jumped out at me. So, I looked it up! To hope means looking forward to getting something I don’t yet have. In my walk with You, my hope is heaven, seeing You, being eternally with You. That is what I don’t yet have. Oh, You have given me a foretaste of it, but I wait for the prize of the upward call in Christ Jesus. I have realized as I ponder this verse that hope and patience are sisters. It is hard to wait for anything. The world has so programmed us to instant gratification. Waiting for Your timing is hard, Papa God, even when I am waiting for good things. While I have been in this desert walk, You have taught me that waiting upon You means trusting Your timing. It means trusting that You won’t let any opportunity slip by me unless it’s not one You want me to experience. Papa God, I admit to You that it is hard for me to wait. I don’t do it well – yet – but I’m learning. I am trusting You to give me everything I need when I need it, and to cause all events to happen at precisely the time You want them to happen in my life. When I choose to trust You, my soul is at peace because I am focus on You and Your will.
Good morning, My child,
As you have now seen, there was a purpose for leading you to this verse that you read. Thank you for listening to the Spirit’s leading. Trusting me with every detail of your life means that you have acknowledged My Sovereignty, recognizing that nothing in your life or, in the world for that matter, is random. Everything happens for a purpose, according to My will. As you are learning while you live your life for Me, nothing you do or have done is ever a wasted event. I use it all according to My plan for you. Hope and trusting and patience – they all are intertwined and connected. Keep trusting Me for what hasn’t happened yet – now and in your future and yes, for all eternity. I am asking you to wait patiently and confidently, trusting Me to bring it about in My perfect timing.
(Rom.8:24-25)
