Good Morning, Papa God!
As I sit in Your Presence, I find myself amazed and overwhelmed by the favor that You have lavished upon me (Your love, Your acceptance of me, Your desire for me), that I would be Your chosen child, Your special possession to declare Your praises and to glorify You, that I would be Your inheritance and You would be mine. Yes, Papa God, I am overwhelmed by how much You love me, knowing I come with empty hands before You. I know You do not need me to do accomplish Your will, but You have chosen me to impact my world for Jesus’ name sake and saving work on the cross. You have chosen me to proclaim the praises of Him who called me out of the darkness of sin and into His marvelous light. Your heart’s desires have become my heart’s desires. Impacting those around me for Jesus is all I have ever really wanted to do. Yes, Papa God, I now understand somewhat why You have led me for a while through the wilderness. You had to prepare me for what You needed for me to do next … lots of rubble removal from my heart and letting go of entanglements that were hindering my obedience. Yes, You have allowed this wilderness walk to strengthen my faith and trust in You, my God, to deepen my knowledge of Your spiritual truths and to walk in the truth of that knowledge. Thank You, Jesus, that Your love is not just something You speak about, but it’s something You proved when You died for me. You paid the highest price of love for me and I can never thank You enough. Help me to take this love to others and show others Your love. Papa God, I love walking in Your Presence. Your Presence fills me with each step I take in life, and I am a thankful child. I know You love me and want only the best for me, so I trust and obey – not always (yet!) but mostly!
Good morning, My Lovely One!
Such joy we have each morning! I love your surrendered heart, your desire to be in My Presence. It is a beautiful time when we are together – just you and Me. My child, I know your heart – all of it! I know your desire to walk with Me, to please Me, and to share My Son’s work on the cross with others. I know all your desires, everything about you actually as you well know. Thank you for surrendering your ordinary and simple acts each day into My hands and for My use. Even in the ordinary, you have done a good work for me. The giving to Me of your small, ordinary, daily tasks shows your love for Me. Please quit asking Me, “Am I of any use?” My child, your value to Me is not and never will be about what you do for Me. As you have already stated, the truth is you and all My children are not valued as My children because of your use to Me, but because I love you. I value you just because I love you. It is when you are totally surrendered to Me that I work through you, not in the big and flashy ways, but in your ordinary, daily tasks. You are steadfast, firm, and unwavering. Yes, you have been stubborn during this wilderness walk, but slowly through your perseverance you have recognized your stubborn will and laid it down on the altar of sacrifice. I am steadfast as well in My love for you. My child, when you relinquish control of your life and let Me lead, you and I together make an awesome team. I have a firm, eternal grasp of your hand and I will not let you fall or fail in your walk with Me. I am your spiritual safety net, always ready to catch you when you stumble. My love has an eternal grip on you. Rest in that and be at peace with your ordinary tasks. I AM!
