Grace

Good Morning, Papa God!

As I finished up my study of Your Word this morning, there was a profound question asked – “How do I understand God’s grace in my life?” At an intellectual level, I know what it is – Your favor. At an experiential level, I know it. Since the day I called on the name of Jesus and asked Him to apply to my life what He did on the cross (forgiveness of sins) and to this present moment, I have experienced Your grace, Your favor in my life. Really ever since I was born, You have been watching over me. But … understand it? I am not sure, this side of heaven, that I will ever understand Your grace. How and why You loved me and chose me while I was still sinning and far from You. I had nothing to offer You (still don’t) except my life in service to You. I came empty-handed, and You poured Your grace, Your love, and Your mercy upon me. This I will never fully understand, but I am so very thankful that You did. I am holy, set apart, and sanctified because You are holy, set apart, and sanctified, and You live within me. It is certainly not based on what I have or have not done, or what I will or will not do. It is simply because You chose to love me and pour Your grace upon me. And the great thing is You will do the same thing for anyone who calls upon the name of Jesus. It is truly amazing grace!

Good morning, My child!

Yes, you have experienced My grace all through your life. You have seen Me pour it out upon you lavishly. And it has been My pleasure to do so! In all of your journey thus far, you have learned to lean upon Me and My grace, My love, and My mercy. You have known and experienced its abundancy and sufficiency. No matter what the circumstances have been in your journey, you have learned to trust Me. You are correct, My child. You have experienced it, but a full understanding of My grace is beyond your finite mind’s ability to understand. One day you will. But, you have come to understand that My grace is not based on you and your performance, but it rests solely with Me.
