Sitting Still

Good morning, Papa God!

It’s a new day! I’m alive! I’m blessed! I’m grateful! I’m loved! The circumstances of life may not be to my liking, but the truth of my life remains evident. I’m blessed and I’m loved! You faithfully love me, keep me, and provide for me. Circumstances in life change constantly, some of it is good and some of it is bad. It’s called life! But, through it all, You have remained faithful to me, and You keep all Your promises. You have never failed me, ever – not once! Yes, Papa God, I’m blessed! And I’m grateful! But I am also learning how to be content while “sitting still on the shelf,” waiting. This is very difficult for me as You well know.

My daughter,

Busyness has been your constant mode of operation your entire life, thus making retirement a very hard transition for you. I know it seems like a senseless waste of time to quietly wait before Me, especially when, an “active doer” like yourself, sees the work that needs to be done. You wrestle with what you know needs “doing” to reach others for My kingdom, and why I have you sitting still, with apparently nothing to do. My busy little one, I do have a need for you -- in what lies ahead. But for now, I have placed you in a time of preparation. This preparation time for you has involved several things – letting go, tearing down strongholds, removing rubble from your life. Now, I begin the repair, restore, and rebuild process within your life for what lies ahead for you to do. Yes, My child, I am asking you to be content with you "shelf life" and to be patient while I do My good work within you. Remember, your life is not meaningless when I am in it. Wait patiently before Me, and walk with Me through this day.
