Cease Striving

Good morning, Papa God! 

I have spent many hours and days recently just focused on You, just breathing in Your peace and quietness and calmness. Laying down my will to Yours and to cease striving against my circumstances has been my goal in these recent days. And so, here I sit in Your Presence with my focus upon You. I have no agenda, no list of wants or needs, no demands for answers to all my questions, no frustrated spirit. I am just here – quietly and calmly – waiting! You will renew my strength and refresh my spirit, soul, and body. It’s not just about what Your results in my life will be because I am waiting; it’s more about what You will change in me during my waiting, what I will become because I wait for You. Here I am, Papa God, doing the hardest thing for me to do – sitting quietly, waiting, without wanting anything from You except Your Presence filling up my being. Honestly, my God and Father, I am exhausted from all my striving to figure things out and the “whys” of my current season. I am just too tired to keep on trying to carry this burden. So, I lay it down and crumble before You in complete exhaustion. Restore my soul and renew my strength and a right spirit within me. I am just too tired to care anymore.

My exhausted child,

I hear your heart’s cries. Let Me speak again My Word to you. Let your heart hear it and absorb it.

“When you sit in “darkness”, I will be a light to you. When you pass through the waters I will be with you and they will not overflow you, I will bring the “blind” (you) by a way you do not know and lead you on a path you have not known. I will make your darkness light before you, and your crooked path straight.”

 I will do this for you, and I will not forsake you – ever!  I will always renew and restore and change you as you wait upon Me. I am taking your burden of exhaustion and your “too-tired-to-care” state of being from you. Rest in Me. I will give you a renewed sense of perseverance and purpose in time. For now, lay it all down and rest. Do not be anxious or worried about anything. Just trust Me that I’ve got this! All of it! Let Me continue to change and polish you into the special vessel that you are – yes, an ordinary life – but special and unique. Trust My perfect timing in your life’s events. I have placed My unique signature upon your life. Truly, I have and I am using you in the lives of others, even if you do not see it or know about it. You have given Me your heart and life years ago, and I have used you as My special vessel so many times, and will continue to do so, as you obediently lay your will down. How I love you, My child… always have, always will.
