Good morning, Papa God!
After studying this section of Scripture, I realize that, just like Elijah, You have used these past five years as a time of separation in order to prepare me for what You would have me do next. You have brought me through the “winepress of healing.” You have deepened my relationship with You. You have caused my belief and trust in You to deepen through Your many methods of transformation. My deep and intimate abiding in You has been the result of my complete trust in You – that You are who You say You are and You will do what You say You will do. You are the magnificent Promise-Keeper! During these past five years, You have solidified and changed so many things within me like …
- No matter what I see or understand regarding the circumstances of life, You are Providentially and Sovereignly working all the pieces of my life together for Your glory and my best,
- And all of it is based on Your timetable, not mine.
- You have caused me to uncover that which I had covered up and tried to rationalize and conceal; You have changed my heart and my perspective.
- You have taught me to wait patiently for You to work out the details.
Do I know, as yet, what the next thing is that You have for me to do? I do not! But I have learned to trust You – the One Who does! I am learning to rest in Your timetable, and to do each day that which I know to do. Papa God, my prayer, for each day that You give me, is that I would be steadfast, immovable in my faith, always abounding in Your work.
My child,
Yes, these past five years have been one of your most intense training and transformative periods of your life. I know you entered this time with all your plans of what you thought I wanted you to do. Your natural tendency (your DNA and personality) caused you to plan out your days and to control what you would do and how it will happen. However, you have learned to let go of that control of your life and its plans, and to trust Me each day, and to lean on Me and not your own understanding. I have wanted you to get to the place where you would submit your plans and your life to My control, and to trust Me more deeply, especially when nothing appeared to be happening. I know how hard this time has been for you but now I see you fully trusting in Me for your future and the work I have for you to do, even though you do not fully know what that is. Your progress and growth makes Me full of joy! With all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, continue to lean on Me, to trust Me, and to be fully confident in Me. I will guide you and strengthen you always. I will never let you miss My open door for you when the timing is right. Be faithful to that which I have called you to do, and leave the rest to Me to work out, in and through you.
(Jer.17:1-16; 1 Cor. 1:58; Prov.3:5-6)
