Lord,
Keep my faith strong even when I don’t see and understand. When all else fails me, You will not. I stand on the solid rock of my faith in You. I am reminded of these words I wrote about faith so long ago. The same is true today.
When everything crumbles,
And all I do is stumble,
Faith goes on!
When all around me is sinking sand,
And I just can no longer stand,
Faith goes on!
When the heart is broken into a thousand pieces,
And I am consumed by all the pain it releases,
Faith goes on!
When debts are high and income is low,
And the needs are great but the supply seems late,
Faith goes on!
When confusion reigns and all sense of direction is lost,
When the price paid is at tremendous cost,
Faith goes on!
When all the hosts of hell come against me,
And I succumb in battle and fall to my knees,
Faith goes on!
When others would discourage and verbally abuse,
And say, ‘Give up! What’s the use?’
Faith goes on!
When my mind doesn’t understand,
Your plan that is awesome and grand,
Faith goes on!
My child,
Your heart is laid down before Me. You are MY precious treasure. The more you trust Me, the more I empower you to trust Me – all in preparation for the days ahead. Practicing this trust during the easier days is the way you “store up treasure” of trust for when harder days come. Trusting Me keeps you in perfect peace!! Depend on Me daily, My child, and My path of peace will open before you. I promise!
Press into Me even harder and remember to always persevere and endure. Keep going onward. Walk steady for I am holding on to you and directing your steps. In the areas where are you lacking discipline, don’t give up – persevere! One day at a time! If one day is not so good, let it go and start over the next day. Keep doing it until you are victorious. Don’t give in! Maintain MY perspective of you and your life. This will keep you focused on your one and only purpose – showing others that Christ dwells in you, that your life is being lived in obedience to Him, and that the conquering King lives in you, leading you triumphantly through every day.
